OVERVIEW
The main aim of the Maritime DTS is to further your experience of God, to know him and learn what He has for you, as in any other DTS.
LECTURE PHASE
During the mornings you will join the other streams for lectures in the beautiful new YWAM Tauranga Ministry Center located in Tauranga, New Zealand, where you also will be accommodated. One afternoon per week is in the classroom learning theory about sailing, safety at sea, navigation and seamanship. A second afternoon is practical sailing in a small sailing yacht exploring beautiful Tauranga Harbour.
OUTREACH
For outreach you may be on board one of the YWAM ships joining the team and assisting with whatever is needed, from cleaning and kitchen duties, to joining a mercy ministry team. Please note that we currently do not have a ship operating in the pacific islands, however there may be outreach opportunities on the M/V Pacific Link doing medical outreach in Papua New Guinea and the M/Y Next Wave operating in the Mediterranean.
SAILING IN TAURANGA HARBOR
Afternoon or weekend sailing in or around beautiful Tauranga harbor with its islands and sandy beaches. (Numbers limited) $10 / person / afternoon or day. (Does not include transport to Tauranga port or lunch)

Hi I’m Markus, and I’m from Switzerland. I’m married to Jacqueline and we have a 9 year old son named Samuel. We have been with Marine Reach for 8 years now serving in Membercare and IT. We love sailing, camping and trekking.
