Pacific Island DTS Marine Reach YWAM Vanuatu

Pacific Island DTS

OVERVIEW:

Nestled in the heart of the South Pacific is the island nation of Vanuatu, formerly known as the New Hebrides. Surrounded by other island nations like Fiji and New Caledonia, this nation is at the heart of the South Pacific region and is a perfect stepping off point to reach out to other island nations in the region. This is the setting for the Pacific Island DTS.

Our DTS is a cross-cultural school combining island and western cultures as the students spend time getting closer to the Lord and prepare to reach out to our neighbour nations. The school will start with a short three-day course on how to speak Bislama (the local language) which consists of a mixture of English and French.

The course is a normal three-month lecture phase period held at our Family Care Centre in Port Vila, Vanuatu, with a two-month outreach in one of the Pacific Islands. The Family Care Centre is a ministry of Marine Reach. The lecture phase consists of all the normal subjects carried in our DTSs (e.g. Hearing God’s Voice, The Father Heart of God, Spiritual Warfare, etc.), with international speakers flown in for a week or two.
